I don't know about anyone else, but so far the only one worth
considering is Meg Whitman.
Attorney General Jerry Brown (D)
Former Rep. Tom Campbell (R-Calif.)
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom (D)
Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner (R)
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (D)
Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman (R)
I still think Meg is the best choice.
I agree.  I agree.  two big thumbs up!!
Of the others I think Jerry is the only one I 'might' consider...

And that would be a stretch.

Now I hope no one takes this as a "Political Debate Thread", it is
just an Advisement.

Letting people know who is running to replace 'The Governator'.

I liked some of his movies, I just wish he would stop trying to act
like a politician.

Time to refresh the line from the Bill Clinton candidacy era: Bill
Clinton claimed to have smoked marijuana only once and said he never
inhaled. Jerry Brown smoked marijuana often and claimed to never
EXHALE. Jerry Brown is the political equivalent of the old Red Sox
pitcher, Bill Lee; both have earned the designation as "Spacemen".

Of the field, only Meg Whitman is capable of trying to govern
ungovernable California.

Well, what was her policy towards nudism and nudity as CEO of eBay?

They insisted that nudist material be listed with the porn and people could
not pay for it with PayPal.

I can kind of understand the product placement thing, but I have to
ask, the PayPal part, was that an eBay decision or did PayPal make
that stipulation?

Congressman Brian Bilbray endorses Whitman
"California needs a leader with fresh ideas, a proven track record
and the courage to fight for reform, and that leader is Meg Whitman,"
said Brian Bilbray, Meg's latest endorser. Congressman Brian Bilbray
of San Diego announced today that he will back Meg Whitman for
governor because he believes she will help the state balance its
budget, create jobs and revitalize its economy.

SACRAMENTO – Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, former
President and CEO of eBay, announced today the endorsement of
Congressman Brian Bilbray. Congressman Bilbray represents the San
Diego area’s 50th Congressional District, which includes Carlsbad, Del
Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, San Marcos, Solana Beach, Fairbanks Ranch,
Lake San Marcos, Rancho Santa Fe and a portion of the City of San
Diego.

“Congressman Brian Bilbray has been a tireless advocate for taxpayers,
fighting for policies that will encourage innovation, entrepreneurship
and job creation,” Whitman said. “He has also been an outspoken voice
for America’s armed forces as well as immigration reform. I look
forward to working with Congressman Bilbray to restore prosperity and
economic vitality to California.”

“California needs a leader with fresh ideas, a proven track record and
the courage to fight for reform, and that leader is Meg Whitman,”
Congressman Bilbray said. “In addition to leading eBay to
international prominence, Meg has excelled at some of America’s most
well-known companies including Hasbro, Disney and Procter & Gamble.
She’s the right person to help California balance its budget, create
jobs and revitalize its economy.”

Congressman Bilbray currently serves on the House Committee on
Oversight and Government Reform, the Committee on Veteran’s Affairs
and the Science and Technology Committee. He is also a member of the
House Republican Policy Committee and the Chairman of the Immigration
Reform Caucus. He is a native San Diegan and was born at Coronado
Naval Air Station where his father served in the Navy. Congressman
Bilbray previously served the people of San Diego County as a Mayor
and a County Supervisor. During his two decades of local government
service, Brian fought to protect and enhance the quality of life that
has attracted millions to San Diego County. He supported a number of
economic development policies that helped solidify the County’s
reputation for being a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship.

And to, you have to consider that whatever their own opinions on such
things are they still have to comply with the Law, and if the Law
mandates a product placement then they have to comply, and the PayPal
may be another legal issue.
